Hi, I'm Erik.

Erik Allberg

I'm building Giga — a user-owned super-app for the AI age. A new interface for social media, browsing, notes, messaging, AI, and collective sensemaking.

Before this I co-founded Market.xyz. I've spent the last few years deep in decentralized systems, product design, and what user-owned software actually looks like in practice. This page is where I write a little about all of that.

Why I'm doing this

Today's internet is fragmented across platforms that own our data, shape our feeds, and quietly decide what our digital lives look like.

I don't think that should be the default — software should be designed around user ownership, not platform control.

Giga is my attempt to rebuild the personal computing layer around three things I actually care about: user ownership, AI-native workflows, and healthier collective intelligence.

What I'm building

User-owned social graph

Your relationships, portable across apps.

AI-native browser and workspace

A surface where models work alongside you.

Notes, memory, and messaging

One continuous personal context.

Personal feeds and collective sensemaking

Algorithms you tune, not the other way around.

A bit of background

I co-founded Market.xyz, which reached close to $200M in TVL / valuation. Most of my work since has been in decentralized systems, product design, and user-owned applications — trying to figure out what that actually looks and feels like in practice, not just in theory.

Say hi

I like getting messages from people I don't know yet. Intros, ideas, feedback — all of it.
